CERCO, after twelve years and with the intention of continuing being a reference of the contemporary ceramics, it is invented, happening to be biennial and alternate in the official announcement of the fair as in the prize.

In 2013 CERCO announces the prize with new spirit and expositions, because it wants to give visibility to those projects and ideas that discover new ways of understanding the ceramics and therefore the creation. The activity of CERCO will center from May 9th to May 12th with an agenda full of exhibitions and presentations and like in previous editions they will take place in Zaragoza, Muel, Huesca and later in Teruel.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. collaborates in the XXIX edition of the “Fira del Fang de Marratxí” (Majorca), which will take place from 9th to 17th March 2013. The potters will exhibit their works, carried out with techniques that have passed on from generation to generation. With special attendance of the local producers, who have made of this town the denominated “Terra de Fang”.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. colabora con el equipo “Trex Raid” en el MAROC CHALLENGE, el único raid low cost solidario.

El equipo Trex Raid, formado por Guillem Cumella, Josep Sans, Arnau Cumella y Alba Moya participa en la Winter Edition con el dorsal 105 con un Nissan Patrol RD28T del 91, en la categoría 4x4. La edición de invierno tiene lugar del 1 al 7 de diciembre de 2012.

El proyecto solidario 2012 se centra en un pequeño pueblo: Hassi El Begaa, situado en la zona de Merzouga, a las puertas del desierto de Erg Chebbi. Es una zona bastante aislada y cercana a la frontera con Argelia, junto a un pequeño oasis en el que se cultivan dátiles, cacahuetes, cereales y verduras. Hassi El Begaa cuenta con una escuela en la que se escolarizan alrededor de 50 escolares y que más allá de los pupitres y una pizarra no cuenta con más dotación de material. Un maestro y una maestra comparten la única aula hábil porque aunque existen tres más, están pendientes de rehabilitar. El raid MAROC CHALLENGE se pone como objetivo dotar esta pequeña escuela de material escolar. CERAMICA COLLET S.A. aporta arcilla, herramientas de modelar, pintura y pinceles que serán entregados personalmente por el equipo “Trex Raid”.

Baco Barcelona está compuesta por varias series limitadas, de 50 copas cada una, diseñadas y realizadas por Vicente Rivera.

La delicadeza y translucidez de la porcelana de Limoges contrasta con la rugosidad del pie que la levanta, y hace que la experiencia de beber sea un verdadero lujo. Un cáliz pagano en el que disfrutar del vino, también del brillo y la sutil textura de la porcelana torneada a mano.

El alfarero Vicente Rivera da a cada copa su propia personalidad, convirtiéndola en una pieza exquisita e irrepetible.

CERÀMICA CUMELLA is one of the leaders most internationally present in our country. His work is a unique combination of industry, artistic ceramics and art. In collaboration with the most prestigious international architects, he elevates artistic ceramics into an indispensable element in the singular architecture. It is for this reason that we have considered dedicate our calendar as a monograph of his work.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. (SIO-2) and ESCLAT (Bon Preu Grup) make a Clay Workshop for Kids over 6 years old with the colored self-hardening clay COLORPLUS.

The workshop takes place on July 27, beginning at 18 h, at the Center ESCLAT in Malla (Rd C-17 km. 54.7, Malla, Barcelona).

All participants will be granted with a practical wooden tool for modeling and a 15% discount voucher to purchase items for modeling.

Es una obra sencilla, cuidada, llena de sutilezas que transmiten pureza y sensibilidad.

Los colores naturales potenciados por la luz todavía refuerza más la sensación de esbeltez, de pureza, de fragilidad. No hay decoración anecdótica, ni estridencias, ni ruidos. Los materiales hablan por sí mismos. Y si hay intervención, es sobria, escasa esquemática.

Cada pieza es un obsequio de memoria. Es una obra poética, donde también hay espacio para la palabra, el texto, y la figura humana, como un poso de vivencias, que se van acumulando debajo de una persona ...

Estas obras transmiten quietud, reposo ... Hay que contemplarlas con tranquilidad para llegar a captar todos sus significados y disfrutarla de verdad.

The Association of Ceramists of Catalonia (ACC) agreed to grant to Rodolfo Collet Ferrer the Honor Award Artesania Catalunya 2012, for his meritorious work of promoting and unconditional support to artistic ceramics, in front of the company Ceramica Collet SA.

At the same event it was delivered the ACC Honor Awards to Antonio Vivas, for their work in front of the magazine Ceramica, and to Teresa Gironès, for her renowned artistic career.

The catalogue will be shortly available in the distributors of SIO-2 ceramic bodies.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. collaborates in the XXVIII edition of the “Fira del Fang de Marratxí” (Majorca), which will take place from 12th to 20th May 2012. The potters will exhibit their works, carried out with techniques that have passed on from generation to generation. With special attendance of the local producers, who have made of this town the denominated “Terra de Fang”.

CERAMICA COLLET SA collaborates with the Master's Degree in Ceramics, conducted by the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU), and devoted especially to ceramic sculpture. Registration period is already open.

This Master aims graduates specialize in ceramics theory and practice in all contemporary art forms, incorporating the disciplinary development of ceramics graduate studies, allowing the side of academic research students wishing to complete their university studies with the PDG thesis.

The educational objectives of the master is articulated in three directions:

1. - To acquire and develop competencies and skills related to analysis and creating ceramic sculpture projects.
2. - To perceive, understand and express different realities related to the analysis and the creation of ceramic design.
3. - To develop thinking skills, perceptual, communicative and aesthetic related to ceramics and contemporary art.

International Pottery Fair of Argentona

Potters and ceramists around the world will again take a few days the main streets of the city. This year, 85 artisans in ceramics and institutions to the public exhibit and sell their work, the greatest manifestation of art and culture of clay in Spain.

On the occasion of the Festival of Esparreguera, CERAMICA COLLET SA sponsors the 1st Pottery Contest in Esparreguera for children between 6 and 12 years (2 modes: 6 to 9 years and 10 to 12 years). Topics: representative buildings, symbols and cultural entities of Esparreguera (castellers, corre focs, geganters ...). The competition takes place on Monday 11, from 17 to 20h in the Plaza de Santa Eulalia.

The 22 semifinalists of the ARTFAD awards, which in this edition are part of the FADFEST event, organized by the FAD are:

On 5 July, the ceremony of ARTFAD awards, the author of the award will briefly explain his project and award the prize to the winner of one of the categories.

The A-FAD announce the awards for contemporary art and artisanship, with the goal of stimulating research, creation, and excellence in the field of the trades of the arts. The ARTFAD awards form part of the FADFEST event, organized by the FAD, Promotion of Arts and Design.

"CARNE CRUDA" (RAW MEAT) title, refers to an imaginary generated from the change of use of a building in Palma de Mallorca, in the 70's was engaged in cutting and sale of cattle, and later used as a brothel. As neighbors say ... it is still selling meat, raw meat!

The time when change of use in building, which generates a higher dose of imagery. The time when the eyes decide to use than the same stage, is what directs the show, going through different phases from the meat and food to the meat and desire.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. collaborates on the first major European retrospective of Brazilian artist Anna Maria Maiolino, that takes place in FUNDACIÓ ANTONI TÀPIES, Aragó 255, Barcelona (Spain).

Anna Maria Maiolino was born in Italy in 1942. She immigrated with her family to Venezuela, then settled permanently in Brazil at the age of 18. In the 1960s she participated in various events and exhibitions of the Neo-Concrete movement, together with Hélio Oiticica and Lygia Clark. This movement, which renovated Brazilian art, abandoned the dominant trend for geometrical abstraction and sought to reconnect art and life by echoing the social resurgence of the body and subjectivity. Maiolino’s complex works have developed through a variety of media: poetry, xylography, photography, film, performance, sculpture, installation and, above all, drawing. The wide spectrum of subjects, interests and attitudes that underlies her work does not follow a linear development either in the work itself or in time. Rather, through the diversity of her work, she creates a web where themes and attitudes intertwine while meanings slip between one work and another.

INTERNATIONAL CERAMIC AN POTTERY FAIR
The international Ceramic and Pottery Fair is the most important market fair of Catalonia and Spain in its specialty because of the great quantity and quality of artisans which participate. About 65.000 people are expected, being visitors, dealers and other professionals. The fair is open for any audience: individual or families, amateurs or professionals: artisan shops, galleries, whole-sellers, etc. The organization offers his special attention to the professional visitors.
About 90 expositors are expected, divided in the following sections: Traditional pottery, artistic ceramics, antiques and institutions, associations and enterprises.

The company ANGELA COLLS, dedicated to the distribution of ceramic supplies, located in Vulpellac (Girona) and owned by CERAMICA COLLET S.A., opens a new store in the Raval of Barcelona, with the aim of giving better service to professionals and amateurs of ceramics, sculpture and other techniques of volume and collaborating in the promotion of these arts in Barcelona city. The inauguration will take place Tuesday 9 of March at the bar of the CCCB (Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona), in Montealegre str. 5, Barcelona, from 19:30 h.

The invitation is extensive to everybody related to the Catalan artistic ceramics: ceramists, schools, manufacturers, friends, as well as to the local authorities. The symposium takes place on 4th and 5th July 2009. The renowned American potter Frederick Olsen build with black clay SIO-2® PRNM (“TONY TON Kenya”) the outer of a big sculpture which is fired outdoors. The kiln is opened on Saturday night facing the multitude of ceramists congregated into a special and festive air.

CERAMICA COLLET S.A. collaborates in the II edition of the Fair of Crafts PINELLART, that will take place in Pinell del Brai (Tarragona, Spain) on 13th and 14th June 2009. The present edition is dedicated to ceramics, with the monographic “Terra i Foc” (earth and fire). The craftsmen make a giant piece which, Sunday when concluding the day, gives to the Fair like memory of the edition.

CERÁMICA COLLET S.A. collaborates with the CIRCULO DE BELLAS ARTES of Madrid sponsoring the course PRINTING ON CERAMICS (from 25th to 29th May), given by Juan Perez. The course raises the practice of the serigraphic printing on different types of clays and firing processes, studying previously the possibilities of manipulation of the image printed in the clay. The students will use different methods of developing pieces with images, according to their individual knowledge.

CERAMICA COLLET collaborates with the Ajuntament d´Esparreguera (Town Council of Esparreguera) organizing a workshop of modeling during the “Salón de la Infancia” (Childhood Hall). The 17th edition of this event will take place from 27th to 30th December in the Pavelló Municipal Poliesportiu in El Castell where different spaces of diversion for children from 3 to 12 years old will be developed.



The workshop of modeling with SIO-2 clay is organized during the 4 days that the hall lasts, in the mornings from 10h to 13h.

CERAMICA COLLET collaborates with the city council of l´Alcora for the edition of the 2009 SIO-2 calendar, publishing a selection of pieces of the latest years of the International Contest of Ceramics of l´Alcora (Spain).
