150 years making clay. The story of Can Batllori-Cerámica Collet
Omar Fernández and Rafael Boixadera

A book that tells the exciting story of Can Batllori-Cerámica Collet (1874-2024).

The Batllori-Collet family comes from a long line of potters from Sants. In 1874, Mariano Batllori Juvert built a house, a kiln, and a pottery workshop in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, so that his son, Josep Batllori Munné, could continue the family tradition.

It is the true story of a century-old company that has been able to adapt to the needs of the moment, reinventing itself when necessary to maintain the family legacy from generation to generation, and that has lasted to this day after a century and half making clay for pottery.

Written by Omar Fernández, historian and archaeologist, director of the archaeological excavations of Can Batllori in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, and by Rafael Boixadera, general manager of Ceramica Collet S.A., and one of the protagonists of this exciting story.
