Hanging Mobile with COLOR PLUS® Clay

To have fun with the children, playing with clay, we are going to create a decorative object with the range of bright colours of COLOR PLUS natural modelling clay.

We want a unique, beautiful and personalized result and at the same time a clay that is easy to work with so that we can have twice as much fun. So we are going to make a beautiful and creative hanging mobile with elements that we see in the sky: the stars, the moon, the rainbow. The children love it!

Let's start!

1. Take a portion of COLOR PLUS clay of each color (white, yellow and blue) and make a ball.

2. Make a cylinder for each line of the rainbow.

3. Join them by pressing with your fingers and with the help of the roller.

4. To make the figures, take and spread another ball with the help of the rolling pin until you get a homogeneous sheet.

5. With the help of the cutter, make the shapes of the sky (stars and moon).

6. Make the holes to pass the thread of the pendant later.

7. Once all the pieces are dry, join them with a nylon thread and tie them as you like to some metal rods that will make up the hanging mobile.

Material and tools

• COLOR PLUS natural air-drying clay (500g White, 500g Blue, 500g Yellow)

• SIO-2 wooden roller to make the initial plank

• SIO-2 Pottery tool kit of 8 tools with which you will easily develop the work.

• Metal cutters with shapes of stars and circles.
