TOFFEE caramel stoneware 0-0.2mm 12.5kg

Caramel stoneware 0-0.2 mm

Caramel stoneware clay with 40% impalpable grog 0-0.2 mm (up to 80 Mesh). Formulated for artistic ceramics, it is ideal for throwing and modelling smooth pieces with fine details. The high content of grog confers an excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Depending on the firing temperature, it develops a beautiful range of natural tones, from oatmeal beige to caramel brown, which create a warm base that is highly appreciated in ceramic decoration. Suitable for tableware (food-safe), according to ISO 6486. Available in extruded body (moist form).

Firing range*: 1200-1300ºC / Cone 5-10
Biscuit temperature: 1000ºC / Cone 06
Water content: 19%
Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 13
Carbonate content (CaCO3): 0%
Drying shrinkage: 6.2%
Firing shrinkage 1300ºC: 5.6%
Porosity (water absorption) at 1300ºC: 0.1%
Dry bending strength: 3.5 N/mm2
Fired bending strength 1300ºC: 50.8 N/mm2
Thermal coefficient 1250ºC (25-500ºC): 67.6x10^-7ºC^-1

Available in the United States and Canada. ACMI AP Seal. Conforms to ASTM D-4236

(*) Firing range recommended for the clay to develop its best performance, both in terms of technical and safety characteristics, under conventional firing conditions. The colour samples may show temperatures outside the recommended range to provide a broader view, but these are pieces fired under controlled conditions. Cone equivalence according to Orton table for self-supporting cones, regular-SSB and 150ºC/hr heating rate.

I love it!
I love this clay. The colour is really nice and makes some glazes even better! It's also quite 'silky'

looks interesting
I look forward to trying this clay in the USA. I will be looking to replace the PRGF if it isn't sold here anymore.
