WB 04048 extra blanco

WB 04048 extra-white stoneware body for artistic and decorative ceramics, especially suitable for plastic forming processes and casting. Widely used in the industrial production of tableware due to its firing whiteness and stable technical performance.

It offers very good plasticity for modelling and wheel throwing, with excellent performance on the wheel. In oxidising atmosphere, it develops a white to light cream colour; in reduction, it may acquire a slight pearl tone.

• Recommended firing range: 1000–1260 °C (cone 06 - cone 7)
• Moisture (plastic): 22.0 %
• Wet-to-dry shrinkage: 5.0 %
• Dry-to-fired shrinkage (1200 °C): 8.0 %
• Water absorption (1200 °C): 3.0 %
• Loss on ignition: 6.5 %
• Coefficient of thermal expansion:
 20–400 °C: 6.4 x10⁻⁶/°C
 20–500 °C: 6.8 x10⁻⁶/°C
 20–600 °C: 7.9 x10⁻⁶/°C
