BOTZ 9315 Larimar 1020-1280ºC 200ml

BOTZ 9315 Larimar is a warm, luminous turquoise ceramic glaze with a semi-transparent surface and delicate brown speckles. It is perfect for adding freshness, depth and a natural finish to your pieces, especially for decorative work and dinnerware pieces.

Its application is simple and offers very interesting results across a wide firing range. At low temperatures, it develops an intense turquoise tone with natural brown speckles and an almost opaque coverage. At higher temperatures, the finish becomes more glassy, semi-transparent, and shows a more delicate, fluid speckled effect.

• Wide firing range: 1020 ºC–1280 ºC, approximately cone 05 1/2 to cone 9.
• At 1050 ºC: intense turquoise tone with natural brown speckles, almost opaque. Apply 2-3 coats.
• At 1150 ºC, approximately cone 1: finely speckled finish and a more semi-transparent surface. Apply 2 coats.
• At 1250 ºC, approximately cone 6-7: glassy, semi-transparent surface with softer, slightly melted speckles. Apply 2 coats.
• Dinnerware safe according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Suitable for raku.
• Tends to run with thick applications from 1150 ºC, approximately cone 1.
• Results may vary depending on the clay body, application thickness and firing temperature.
