9314 Rauchquarz is a ceramic glaze with a glossy finish, a semi-transparent surface, and an elegant smoky grey tone with fine brown speckles. Its delicate and natural appearance gives ceramic pieces a serene, handcrafted, and highly decorative character, with soft nuances that change subtly depending on the firing temperature. This is a versatile glaze, easy to apply and highly suitable for both decorative ceramics and functional tableware.

• At 1050°C, 2–3 coats are recommended
• At 1150°C and 1250°C, 2 coats are recommended
• May tend to run in thicker applications from 1150°C onwards

Results by firing temperature
• Square: 1050°C — soft smoky grey with delicate brown speckles and an almost opaque finish
• Circle: 1150°C — finely speckled surface with a more semi-transparent effect
• Triangle: 1250°C — glassy, semi-transparent surface with soft speckles that appear slightly more melted, especially beautiful on porcelain
