9314 Rauchquarz 1020-1280ºC 200ml

High-quality ceramic glaze, free of toxic additives, featuring a smoky grey semi-transparent tone with fine speckled points that create a unique visual texture and an elegant vitreous surface. Its subtle and sophisticated finish is ideal for both decorative and functional pieces, enhancing details and shapes with a distinctive character.

It has a wide firing range between 1020°C and 1280°C (cones 05-04 to cone 8-9), offering different results depending on the temperature:

• At 1050°C: soft smoky grey with delicate brown speckles, almost opaque.
• At 1150°C: speckled surface with a balanced semi-transparent effect.
• At 1250°C: vitreous semi-transparent finish with finer speckles, especially attractive on porcelain.

For best results, apply 1 thick coat or 2 thin coats. However, above 1150°C, when applied in thick layers, the glaze may tend to flow.

It is suitable for tableware and food-safe items, and also works well for raku firing.
